MSA REOPENING
Multisports Academy has developed a Pivot Plan to adapt to the new guiding principles set forth by the Governor of the state of Connecticut. We are committed to our fitness community and are offering safe training options for all.
Our 2600 square ft. facility will now operate at maximum of 50 percent capacity. In order to adhere to these new protocols for your health and safety, we will pivot from some of our previous offerings until these restrictions are lifted. “Establishments that require customers to wear a mask while exercising must maintain 6 ft. of space between equipment. Establishments that do not require customers to wear a mask while exercising must maintain 12 ft. of space between equipment.” We will provide masks for all customers if a program calls for members to be less than 12 ft. apart.
We will continue to offer 1:1 Personal Training, Duets and Small Group Training (up to 5 clients).
We will continue to have Spark Physical Therapy on site.
Now our training space can be rented privately by the hour for individuals or groups up to 5 people.
Group exercise classes will continue to be offered virtually and outdoor classes will be created.
Outdoor cycle and run groups will begin again following guidelines for safe athletic distancing.
We are proud to have been certified by the DECD (Department of Economic Community Development) to “help us each keep safe and stop the spread of COVID 19”. The lists of precautions we are taking to protect you, as well as the actions you can take to protect us, will be clearly posted at the gym.
All visits must now occur on a strict appointment based schedule. We need time to check in all staff and members by asking standardized screening questions and taking everyone’s temperature by using a non-contact Infrared thermometer.
Appointments will be spread out during the day allowing time for staff to properly clean and disinfect all surfaces, areas and equipment.
Upon arrival you will notice plenty of signage to remind you of social distancing along with an ample supply of hand sanitizer and cleaning solutions that meet the federal guidelines (CDC, EPA).
We care about your health and safety and are taking these steps very seriously. During this shutdown we have upheld our integrity by staying closed and followed the science driven regulations to help stop the spread of COVID 19.

Testimonials
“We originally met Dawn when she was managing at another gym and before she opened Multisports Academy. We love working with her and when she decided to open MSA, we didn’t think twice about following her and husband Clay to their new business. We have surpassed our 10 year anniversary as of this writing. We have found Dawn to be open, caring and welcoming to anyone who has joined the MSA family. Ron Hillman, one of the Personal Trainers, works with us in a Bootcamp setting once per week, as well as, Personal One on One with Debbie. We look forward to our workouts with Dawn and Ron. Dawn and Ron have helped Debbie recover from shoulder surgery in May of 2019. Ron even calls after individual training to make sure her shoulder is okay. That’s caring!
Dawn listens to what members have to say and then incorporates those ideas into the programs at MSA. She is always trying to be innovative and meet the needs of her clients. There are triathletes that also train there and those of us that have a variety of physical limitations... we fall into the later category. What I love about Dawn and the other coaches/trainers at MSA, is that they always are willing to help with modifications yet never make you feel bad if you cannot do a particular exercise. All levels of clients are able to be together in a class or a Bootcamp and get a good workout.
MSA always makes us feel like we are part of a community, not just a body working out on our own. Family and friends mean everything to Dawn and Clay. We are always asked how we are, what can be done to make our workout better and share what’s new in our lives.
The involvement in many community activities is also very appealing. Dawn and Clay are leaders in that area as well. We really enjoy our experience at her facility. It’s a place that makes up feel good.”
